A Megbúvó drágakövek nyomában – Új módszerekkel és jobb kommunikációval a tehetségek támogatásáért címet viselő 2019-es projektünk fő célja az iskolánkban folyó tehetséggondozás fejlesztése, a tanulás támogatása. A kreativitás fejlődése és a motiváció növelése, annak hosszútávú fenntartása az oktatásban különösen fontos a tehetségek kinevelésében. Bár gimnáziumunk a tanulmányi eredmények tekintetében kiemelkedően teljesít, az előzetes felmérések azt mutatták ki, hogy diákjaink nagyrésze motiválatlan, önértékelése alacsony és emiatt nem tudja kibontakoztatni adottságait, vagy olyan képességekkel rendelkezik, amelyek a hagyományos tanításban nem kerülnek napvilágra. Emellett sok esetben komoly problémát okoz a tantárgyi tehetséges tanulóink beillesztése az osztály és iskolai közösségbe, mivel nem sokoldalúan fejlesztjük a diákok képességeit. A tanáraink úgy érzik az eddig bevált pedagógiai módszerek nem hatékonyak az újabb generációk oktatásában, a tanár-diák és a tantestületen belüli párbeszéd nem megfelelően működik, amely szintén akadálya a tehetségek azonosításának és felkarolásának. Ezekre a problémákra keres választ az idei projektünk, melyben 15 kollégánk vesz részt 11 különféle helyszínen, változatos módszertani és a kreativitást, a kommunikációt fejlesztő képzéseken. A kurzusok kiválasztásakor figyelembe vettük azt is, hogy minél több európai ország kultúrájával ismerkedjünk meg. Így a továbbképzések Írországban, Angliában, Németországban, Ausztriában, Olaszországban, Spanyolországban, Svédországban és Csehországban zajlanak 2019. július és augusztus folyamán. A mobilitások helyszínein szerzett tapasztalatok birtokában sokkal jobban fogjuk tudni támogatni a tehetséges diákjaink külföldi továbbtanulását. Résztvevő munkatársaink más és más területen oktatnak, vannak matematikát, informatikát, testnevelést, földrajzot, történelmet, magyar nyelvet és idegen nyelvet tanítók, de az igazgató helyettest és a pedagógus asszisztenst is belevontuk a mobilitásokba, hogy minél szélesebb körben tudjuk fejleszteni az iskolánkban folyó tehetséggondozást. Projektünk eredményességét az is elősegíti, hogy idén válik iskolánk akkreditált tehetségponttá, így lehetőségünk lesz nemzeti és nemzetközi szinten is bekerülni a tehetségpontokat összefogó hálózatba. A résztvevő munkatársaink többsége vagy a tehetséggondozás területén szerzett szakvizsgával, vagy a tehetséggondozásban, a versenyfelkészítésben nagy tapasztalattal rendelkező pedagógusok, akik hosszú ideje tanítanak iskolánkban. A módszertani megújulásnak köszönhetően korszerűsíteni tudjuk az intézményi oktatásunkat, jobban bele tudjuk vonni a diákokat a tanórákba, így várhatóan motiváltabbak lesznek diákjaink, a tanáraink pedig a kreatív gondolkodásuk fejlődése révén érdekesebb órákat fognak tartani. Az innovatív didaktikai módszerek elsajátításának köszönhetően fejleszteni tudjuk a tanulóink analitikus, laterális és divergens gondolkodásmódját, a művészeti, interperszonális és fizikai képességeiket, így biztosítjuk a tantárgyak közötti átjárhatóságot, a sokoldalú pedagógiai fejlesztést. A projekt eredményeképpen az újabb generációkban is sikerül elültetni a tudás tiszteletét és a kultúra fontosságát, kialakítani bennük az emberi értékek sokféleségét respektáló gondolkodásmódot, stimulálni a tanulóinkat az autonóm tanulásra. A számítógépes módszertani továbbképzések elősegítik az iskolán kívüli személyes kapcsolattartást a diákjainkkal, vonzóvá teszik a tanórákat. A mobilitások eredményeképpen tanáraink jobban fel tudnak készülni a mentor szerepre. A továbbképzések fejlesztik pedagógusainkban a szakmai ismereteken túl az együttműködő és problémamegoldó készségeket, növelni fogják bennük a kreativitást, az önbizalmat, egy nyitottabb, elfogadóbb és rugalmasabb szemléletmódot adnak át tanárainknak, amelyek összességében a jó mentor jellemzői. Végül, de nem utolsó sorban a külföldi továbbképzések kollégáink nyelvi kompetenciáit fogják fejleszteni, amely hozzájárul majd az intézményünk nemzetközi kapcsolatainak kibővítéséhez, a nemzetközi tehetségközpontokkal való együttműködés kialakításához, a tehetséges diákjainkat támogató nemzetközi programokba való bekapcsolódáshoz.

Our 2019 project, entitled In Search of Hidden Gems - Supporting talented students with new methods and better communication, aims to develop the assistance of gifted students and encourage learning in our school. Promoting creativity and fostering motivation as well as maintaining a long-term incentive in education is essential in the evolution of talent. Altough our secondary school has achieved remarkable academic success, the previous surveys demonstrate the fact that many of our students are undermotivated with low self-esteem, which hinder them from unfolding their abilities, or they possess such competences that cannot be revealed in traditional pedagogy.Moreover, the lack of versatile skills development often creates difficulties in socialising high-ability students into the class and school community. Our colleagues find the long-established didactic methods ineffective in educating the new generations and the poor communication among the teachers also prevents the proper identification and support of talented students. We are trying to answer these problems in our present project, in which 15 teachers in 11 different European cities participate in various methodological trainings and in courses developing communicational competences. When selecting the courses we considered it important to understand numerous European cultures. Hence the mobilities take place in Ireland, England, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the Czech Republic during 2019 July and August. The experience we gain in the mobilities will enable us to prepare our students more successfully to study at a European university. The participants teach a wide range of subjects, for instance, Mathematics, IT, PE, Geography, History, Hungarian Literature and foreign languages and we also involved the vice principal and teaching assistant in our project in order to achieve an all-around talent support development in our school. The project’s success is fostered by the fact that our school will be an accredited talent centre, thus we will have the possibility to enter the network of the national and international talent centres. Most of the participants have a degree in talent development, or are well-experienced teachers in talent support and preparing students for competitions, and they have been teaching in our school for a considerable time.Thanks to the methodological improvement, we can modernise the institutional education and we are able to raise students’ interest in the lessons. As a result of an increased creativity, the teachers will provide more interesting lessons, which will eventually raise students’ motivation. After mastering the innovative pedagogical methods, we will be capable of enhancing the students’ analitical, lateral and divergent thinking, their artistic, interpersonal and physical abilities, and thus we can guarantee the accessibility of the subjects and the many-sided pedagogical development. The project will result in raising students’ awareness of respecting knowledge and the importance of culture, as well as encouraging the attitude which appreciates various human values, moreover, stimulate students to acquire learners’ autonomy. The digital methodological trainings will help to maintain the individual contact with the students out of the school and will enable the teachers to get the students interested in the lessons. In addtion, the mobilities will strengthen our teachers in the role of mentor. The in-service trainings will develop the participants’ cooperative and problemsolving competences and provide an increased professional knowledge. At the same time, they will become more creative and self- confident educators who are more open-minded, more tolerant and more flexible, the characteristics of which depict a good tutor. Last but not least, the European mobilities will improve the teachers’ language competencies, which will contribute to the extension of the partnership network of our institution, to the establishment of a new cooperation with an international talent centre, and in addition, it will help our school to join international programmes which aim to support talented students.
