Intézményünk idei, a PRIZMA – PRogresszió, sokoldalúság és IntéZményünk ModernizációjA címet viselő, egy éves projektünk keretében nyolc kolléga vesz részt Angliában, Írországban, Máltán, Németországban és Olaszországban szakmai, módszertani és nyelvi továbbképzésen. Mindannyian iskolánk, a Dunakeszi Radnóti Miklós Gimnázium tapasztalt, ambiciózus, a többségük két idegen nyelvet beszélő munkatársunk, akik gondot fordítanak a sokoldalú szakmai fejlesztésre, és akik jelentős mértékben szerepet vállalnak gimnáziumunk életében vezetőségi tagként, tanárként osztályfőnökként, vagy a szabadidős programok megszervezésében. Jelen projektünk célja az intézményi vezetés, a nyelv és testnevelés oktatásának korszerűsítése, a tanárok digitális kompetenciáinak fejlesztése. Az idei tanévtől új vezetés irányítja az intézményt. Az újonnan kinevezett vezetés modernizációs törekvésével új lendületet hozott az iskola életébe, ugyanakkor elkötelezett az iskola hagyományos értékeinek megőrzése mellett, mint az eddigi kiváló tanulmányi eredményeink, vagy a tanulók sokoldalú fejlesztése. A korszerű iskola nem csak az új vezetés elképzelése, hanem az intézményi környezet elvárásaként is jelentkezik, amelynek a projekt megvalósulásával törekszünk megfelelni. A mai európai létformához hozzátartozik két idegen nyelv ismerete, ezért főbb céljaink között szerepel a tanárok nyelvi kompetenciáinak fejlesztése két idegen nyelvből is, illetve a második idegen nyelvtanítás hatásfokának emelése a számítástechnikai eszközök rendszeres órai alkalmazásával. A másik fő célja projektünknek a túlterheltség következtében fellépő stresszel, motiválatlansággal, némely esetben frusztrációval küzdő diákok támogatása, mentális állapotuk javítása a sport eszközével. A mobilitások egy kivételével a nyár folyamán zajlanak, és a megszerzett tapasztalatokat a következő tanévben építjük be az oktatásba. A projekttől azt várjuk, hogy a jó gyakorlatok megismerése révén a vezetőségnek jobb rálátása lesz az intézményi modernizációra, a nyelvoktatás hatékonnyá válik, a második idegen nyelvek versenyképesek lesznek az első idegen nyelvekkel. Ezenkívül javulni fognak a résztvevő tanáraink idegen nyelvi kommunikációs készségei, valamint a külföldi mobilitások hosszútávon előmozdítják tantestületünk nemzetköziesítésére és az európai szemléletmód elterjesztésére irányuló törekvésünket. Ezt elősegíti majd, hogy mostani projektünk szervesen beágyazódik és ráépül az elmúlt évek sikeres projektjeire meghatványozván azok intézményünkre gyakorolt hatását. Végül a multikulturális helyszínek révén a projekt résztvevők jobban megértik az aktuális társadalmi- politikai jelenségeket, mint a bevándorlás, vagy a multikulturális iskola.

Our current institutional project entitled PRISM - PRogress, versatility and InStitutional Modernisation will engage eight staff members in receiving professional, methodological and language trainings in England, Ireland, Malta, Germany and Italy. All are experienced, ambitious teachers who actively contribute to our school as management members, form teachers, educators or by organising extra curriculum programmes. It is intended that through the trainings they increase versatile professional development in many cases in their second foreign language. Our project aims to support professional development of the members to acquire the knowledge of current and up-to-date language and teaching methods for both language and PE lessons, encourage staff to use ITC and to improve management skills. Our school has been managed by a new principal since the current academic year. The new management has enriched our school with a fresh dynamism, nevertheless, it is committed to preserve our traditional institutional values such as the high standard academic achievements or the many – sided improvement of the students’ competencies. Through the implementation of our project we will focus on the institutional modernisation, which is not only envisaged by the management but it is seen as a requirement on part of our school environment. For the reason that nowadays the knowledge of two foreign languages is thought to pertain to the modern European existence, our main project objectives include the promotion of the language competencies of the staff in both the first and second foreign languages and the facilitation of language teaching integrating ITC tools in the language lessons. As well as developing the staff language abilities, the project aims to give support to students incapable of handling the stress and frustration resulting from a surfeit of schoolwork and to help their mental well-being through sport.  Virtually all the mobilities are realised in the summer so that the professional knowledge and experience acquired can be integrated in the subsequent academic year. The expected impact of the project is to provide better perspective for the management on modernisational developments by seeing good practice examples. It is intended that language teaching become more effective and the second foreign languages be as successful as the first. Furthermore, as a result of the project the communication skills in a foreign language will improve among participants and the mobilities in the long term will promote an international and more European dimension to our institution. All in all, it is expected that this project will impregnate in the success of the previous projects thus multiplying their impact on our school. Finally, the multicultural venues of the mobilities are presumed to develop the understanding of the current social and political issues like immigration or multicultural classrooms.
